This is an extremely popular style, the classic swash-buckling shirt, perfect for swinging from the rigging, posing as Captain Jack Sparrow from the film Pirates of the Carribean, or anything else that you want to do.
They are what is known as "four-yard" shirts, for the obvious reason that the body is a yard long front and back, and the sleeves are also made of a full yard of material each. This gives the fullest, most generously cut shirt.
To avoid bulkiness, we use the finest possible material: a lovely white cotton lawn, which is so fine that you can almost see through it. (Ladies, beware. There is "sexy" and then there is "slutty". Do not cross that line.) Also available in Black. Sometimes.
These shirts have a shoulder yoke for comfort, for a good fit, and for lots of style. The collar is large, and the front fastening has a hand-finished, classic, criss-cross lacing, ending in fluffy tassels.
The sleeves are long, and are particularly full, and are gathered into a hand-stitched buttoned cuff, or an overlong gathered cuff if preferred.
